Overview
This private Uganda gorilla trekking safari is a focused 3-day Uganda gorilla trekking road trip: a full-day mountain gorilla trek in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park—a UNESCO rainforest where roughly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas live. Over three days you road-travel from Kampala or Entebbe into Uganda’s southwest, spend two nights near your assigned trekking sector, trek with UWA rangers (typically one hour with a habituated family), and return with Equator stops and photo-friendly scenery. Gorilla permits: one permit per guest is required; fees are set by Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) and change on official tariff cycles—foreign non-resident permits are widely quoted around USD 750 for the standard one-hour trek (verify the exact amount and low-season offers when you book). We secure permits subject to availability for your dates. For a deeper breakdown, see our notes on the company booking and pricing. The route is ideal if you want a compact Bwindi gorilla safari without flying: expect scenic full days on the road (roughly 8–10 hours each transfer day), comfortable lodge nights, optional Batwa community encounters, and a classic road circuit back to Entebbe/Kampala.
